Held in April 2026 in Moscow, ExpoElectronica and ExpoCifra gathered 730 companies and over 20,000 visitors, reinforcing their status as the region’s leading platform for electronics and digital transformation.
From 14 to 16 April 2026, the 28th International Electronics Exhibition ExpoElectronica and the 2nd Exhibition of Information Technologies and Digital Transformation Solutions ExpoCifra were held in Moscow at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre.
The large-scale event, held with the support of key federal authorities, once again confirmed its status as the leading industry platform in Russia and the EAEU countries.
This year, the exhibition brought together 730 companies from Russia, Belarus, and China, occupying an exhibition area of more than 35,000 sq. m. Russia and the Republic of Belarus were represented by 380 companies, including more than 200 leading Russian electronics developers and manufacturers. Over 100 domestic enterprises made their exhibition debut. As part of the international exposition, 350 companies from China presented their solutions. Over three days, the exhibitions were attended by 20,015 unique visitors, with more than 23,000 total visits, and 28,539 specialists from more than 13,000 industrial enterprises took part in the exhibitions overall. Visitors represented 23 countries and 76 regions of Russia.
During the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Shpak visited the event. Accompanied by Exhibition Director Rimma Mangusheva, he familiarised himself with the expanded exposition and the exhibitors' products. The Deputy Minister showed particular interest in import-substitution solutions from Russian manufacturers.
"Talking with company executives on the sidelines of ExpoElectronica, you are once again convinced: business has stopped looking back and has fully focused on development. Today, it is not about import substitution for the sake of reporting, but about confidently strengthening the positions of domestic manufacturers," noted Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Shpak.
According to him, Russian companies compete on equal terms with foreign brands, and win through adaptability and understanding of customer specifics.
During his visit, Vasily Shpak toured the stands of several key enterprises, including Planar, Ostek-SMT, Dipol, the Element Group of Companies, Voltbrix, and Elektrokonnect. He emphasised that manufacturers are growing, gaining competencies in circuit design and packaging, and critically building long-term cooperative chains within the country.
"The industry has gained a steady pace, and our task is to support this momentum by removing administrative barriers and giving manufacturers clear guarantees of demand from large customers," he said.
The exhibitions were also attended by representatives of the Embassies of China, the UAE, Kyrgyzstan, and Saudi Arabia, who noted the high level of organisation of the event and its opening ceremony.
The extensive business programme this year included 40 events featuring more than 150 speakers. The focus was on the role of domestic electronics in industrial transformation, the needs of industrial customers, mechanisms for stimulating demand, and barriers to technology adoption.
The key event of the first day was the inaugural conference of the Russian RISC-V Alliance, "Technologies Without Limits," dedicated to the development of open processor architecture in Russia and globally. Also featured was a large pre-session of the Russian Microelectronics Forum: "Trusted Hardware-Software Systems and Electronic Component Base for Regulated Critical Information Infrastructure Markets — A Driver for the Development of Russian Electronics."
On the first day of the exhibition, an industry press breakfast was held, bringing together leading experts, exhibitor company representatives, and journalists from specialist publications. Opening the event, Exhibition Director Rimma Mangusheva noted:
"Today, ExpoElectronica and ExpoCifra are no longer just exhibitions, they are the core of an entire ecosystem that works for the industry year-round."
She added that over the past year, the Electronica Connect business community has united more than 30,000 authorised users who have made over 100,000 productive interactions on the platform.
The session was moderated by Roman Tinyaev, Partner of the Industry & Technology practice at consulting firm Strategy Partners, who presented an analytical overview of the Russian electronic component base market. He highlighted sustained growth of 10% in the segment, reaching 407 billion roubles in value. The expert also noted a significant increase in state support for the industry: in 2025 alone, funding for the development of domestic microelectronics exceeded 100 billion roubles, with this positive trend continuing and strengthening annually.
Other speakers included Tatyana Benois, President of the National Artificial Intelligence Foundation, who addressed the importance of organising data collection and processing; Igor Alyushin, Executive Director of Glarus Digital, who presented new capabilities of the Glarus BI business analytics platform; and Fyodor Barkovsky of Akmetron, who demonstrated a specialised software platform for measurement automation. The new press-and-exhibitor meeting format was well received, and the organisers plan to hold similar events annually.
On 15 April, on the Electronics Arena stage, the results of the annual independent industry award "Electronics 2026" were announced, marking its sixth edition recognising the achievements of Russian companies. Over six years, approximately 100 projects have been submitted for jury consideration, and thousands of industry specialists have taken part in online voting on the Electronica Connect platform. The exhibition floor traditionally served as a venue for signing important partnership agreements. As part of the business programme, several significant documents were signed, including a cooperation agreement between JSC Mikron and JSC Angstrem on the training of engineering personnel for the microelectronics industry, as well as a cooperation agreement in engineering training between JSC Mikron and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia's Competence Centre.
Long-term cooperation agreements were also signed between the ExpoElectronica and ExpoCifra organising committees and the Russoft Association, as well as with ANO CTI Neurolab, with the aim of supporting and scaling import substitution practices and the implementation of domestic software, AI technologies, and related digital solutions within the framework of the exhibitions.
Following the exhibition, the Electronica Connect digital community has united 40,000+ industry professionals, forming a strong business community around the event. Over 38,000 badge scans, 300+ matchmaking service interactions, and an online catalogue featuring 4,200+ company products confirm this is a fully fledged ecosystem for professional networking and business development.
The 28th International Electronics Exhibition ExpoElectronica and the ExpoCifra exhibition once again confirmed their status as the leading industry event of the year, setting the direction for the development of the electronics industry and digital technologies in the period ahead. The organisers announced that a new cycle of applications for participation in the exhibitions and the award has already launched.
